Dear parents, assalaam u 'alaikum warahmatullaah,
Ramadan & Eid Mubarek
Solihull Sunday School is delighted to have your child(ren) join us for another year of supplementary education.
The school will reopen its doors on Sunday 5/9/2010 to assess new students and normal teaching will start on Sunday 12/9/2010 for the current students and on Sunday 19/9/2010 for new students. Children should be collected as per usual, at 1:30pm.
www.solihullsundayschool.org.uk is going to provide you with up-to-date information including important dates, school holidays and homework (if your child’s teacher chooses to use this method).
Please email the school your preferred method of communication (letters or emails). We also need at least one working mobile phone number for instant messages. The school’s site email address is the best way for you to get in touch – please use it. And to get in touch with us during working hours (i.e. Sundays), please dial / text the head-teacher. To leave a text for the school to read later use 07786207081. Please avoid directly contacting teachers during teaching hours.
The school has changed its structure. It is now registered as a charitable company under the name "Solihull Islamic Education Academy Ltd", company number 07341503. There are seven directors, each with a specific job. The school will also have an advisory group consisting of: three elected parents, the head teacher, the school’s secretary, four board directors, and the five department heads (Arabic, Bangali, Urdu, Islamic Studies, and Quran).
We pray to Allah that the academy will continue to give Muslim parents from Solihull and surrounding areas, more choice when providing Islamic education for their children. The school is administered largely by the academy’s Board of Directors and is funded by its school fees.
We have been joined in this venture by a very experienced team, who are well known to you all. Most of them have been teaching in Solihull for many years now, and some are even graduates of our own school.
After seeking Allah’s pleasure, we aim to provide a professional, Islamic service and hope you will join us in taking this school forward to a bright and prosperous future.
Dr. Issam Ghannam, MD,
Chairman of the Board
Solihull Islamic Education Academy Ltd
