Dear Parents and teachers
AL-Salamu Alikum
The school governing body is inviting you to attend the following events and since we have 85 children on the waiting list and we have only 340 school places, we would like you to take steps to re-register your children for next academic year 2010/2011 (see below). This will allow us to fill the empty places from the waiting list.
1. School parents day on 4/7/2010. You are one of 60 families who are allocated time to see your child/children teachers attime stated on your individually posted letter and must finish talking to all your children’s teachers in one hour to allow the next 60 families to come. You will be sent the names of your children teachers. Please take a number from reception to see the next teacher once you finish from the previous one.
2. School sport day, prizes giving and BBQ on 11/7/2010: sport competitions start 10am in Alderbrook School field (in Sports Hall if raining). Food, drink and sweets will be on sale from 10:30am. Prizes and medals presentation to school achievers and sport winners will take place at 12:30pm.
3. Last school day is 11/7/2010
4. School will reopen at 9:50am on Sunday 12/9/2010. Mother and toddlers will restart at 10:30am on 12/9/2010
5. New students’ assessment day is Sunday 5/9/2010 starting 10am-1pm (you will be notified of exact time)
6. Those who keep paying by standing orders during July and August 2010 will have their children registered automatically and they need to do nothing. Please inform us if any of your children is not coming back to school.
7. Those who pay cash or stop their standing orders should re-register by July 11th 2010 and must pay three months in advance (cheques payable to Lode Lane Trust). The three months fees as follow (subject to change):
(£72 one child - £126 for 2 children - £162 for 3 children - £192 for 4 children - £222 for 5 children)
8. To allow the school to fill its empty places from the waiting list, those who don’t comply with 6th or 7th items will lose their children’s places and the names will go to the end of the waiting list.
9. Please note that the school hires classrooms, teachers and admin staff for 10.5 months and spreads the standing order over 12 months. If you stop your standing order before September 2010 (even if you decide to stop re-sending your children to school) you will have to pay the 2 months fess as agreed on enrolment.
Yours sincerely

Dear parents, assalaam u 'alaikum warahmatullaah,
Ramadan & Eid Mubarek
Solihull Sunday School is delighted to have your child(ren) join us for another year of supplementary education.
The school will reopen its doors on Sunday 5/9/2010 to assess new students and normal teaching will start on Sunday 12/9/2010 for the current students and on Sunday 19/9/2010 for new students. Children should be collected as per usual, at 1:30pm.
www.solihullsundayschool.org.uk is going to provide you with up-to-date information including important dates, school holidays and homework (if your child’s teacher chooses to use this method).
Please email the school your preferred method of communication (letters or emails). We also need at least one working mobile phone number for instant messages. The school’s site email address is the best way for you to get in touch – please use it. And to get in touch with us during working hours (i.e. Sundays), please dial / text the head-teacher. To leave a text for the school to read later use 07786207081. Please avoid directly contacting teachers during teaching hours.
The school has changed its structure. It is now registered as a charitable company under the name "Solihull Islamic Education Academy Ltd", company number 07341503. There are seven directors, each with a specific job. The school will also have an advisory group consisting of: three elected parents, the head teacher, the school’s secretary, four board directors, and the five department heads (Arabic, Bangali, Urdu, Islamic Studies, and Quran).
We pray to Allah that the academy will continue to give Muslim parents from Solihull and surrounding areas, more choice when providing Islamic education for their children. The school is administered largely by the academy’s Board of Directors and is funded by its school fees.
We have been joined in this venture by a very experienced team, who are well known to you all. Most of them have been teaching in Solihull for many years now, and some are even graduates of our own school.
After seeking Allah’s pleasure, we aim to provide a professional, Islamic service and hope you will join us in taking this school forward to a bright and prosperous future.
Dr. Issam Ghannam, MD,
Chairman of the Board
Solihull Islamic Education Academy Ltd
